Test of Leadership This Week In DC

There are three type of leaders according to Larry Lindsey, CEO of the Lindsey Group: rhetorical, managerial and analytic. This week in Washington as our elected officials sit down to hash everything out from healthcare, bank regulation (well, that may slide to next week) to job creation, we look to see what kind of leaders they truly are.

“Our political process is dominated by leaders who tell us what they think we want to hear, thereby effectively following the polls and the media and not necessarily  leading the country,” says Lindsey.

The rhetorical powers of some of our politicans are simply amazing.  But as Lindsey told me, many Americans are now demanding analytical action as well.
