The Importance of Time

Just like the great pyramids of Egypt, great things take time. For better or worse, how we think has a direct impact on the future. What I have learned over years of covering both local and business news is that personal decisions drive one’s destiny. There will always be surprises that are out of your control. But, just as you will not grow your money if you keep it on the sidelines, you will not build your future if you simply wait for an opportunity to come to you. You need to create your opportunity.

You need to focus on your seven steps to reach your potential and meet your goals:

• Fortify your foundation—know yourself
• Build your knowledge
• Define your opportunity strategy—and stick with it
• Fuel your passion
• Stay the course
• Execute—pay attention to the details
• Think ahead—world domination

Remember there is no one-size-fits-all strategy for success. To start the process of building your pyramid, you need to know yourself. Use the tools I have spoken about before so you can stay focus on what you are striving to be. Time is a critical piece to your recipe of success. It takes time for bread to rise. If you rush things, it will be a flop. Time allows you to carefully weigh details and decisions. Give yourself the gift of time- it’s free and priceless.
